Now for the first time, Blancpain has brought its signature instant-change large date complication to the Fifty Fathoms, displayed in two windows located at 6 o’clock.

Following its 1956 debut – three years after the launch of the Fifty Fathoms –, the style of Blancpain’s Bathyscaphe evolved with the times. The 70s saw bold dial markings with Arabic numerals and windows for the day of the week and date at 3 o’clock. The new Bathyscaphe Day Date 70s, which will be limited to 500 pieces, captures the allure of that model while incorporating Blancpain’s current technical advances.

Blancpain presents a new Traditional Chinese Calendar limited-edition to celebrate the Year of Dog
For the sixth consecutive year, Blancpain presents a limited-edition wristwatch equipped with the Traditional Chinese Calendar in tribute to this age-old culture. A horological complication exclusively developed by the Manufacture in Le Brassus, the Traditional Chinese Calendar is housed in a platinum case, while the movement’s oscillating weight is engraved with the symbol of the current lunar year. In 2018, the sign of the dog is thus highlighted on the back of this model.

This year, is the 10th year anniversary of Ateliers deMonaco. In order to celebrate, the watch manufacture created a unique piece inspired by the official poster of this Grand Prix signed by Michael Turner.
